| Passenger Machine Truck Removal Posted by Ceremonious State of war on Friday, April 24, 2009 nine:56 PM I just purchased a Lionel fix of 2421, 2422, 2423 & 2429 rider cars. I would like to remove the bodies to practise some repairs to the window strips and I accept a couple of pickup wires that demand to be soldered and repaired. Is there a trick to getting the trucks off? It looks like it could be really hard and I would like some advice before I dive into information technology. Thank you in advance. | Posted by lionelsoni on Saturday, Apr 25, 2009 12:twenty AM Do you know how to get the roof off? The ii "ventilators" on the peak are actually screws holding the roof on. Inside you'll discover the usual hard-to-reuse Lionel clips on the trucks' center bearings. If yous spread the clips admittedly no more than necessary to get them off and then squeeze them only a piddling when you put them back on, yous may exist able to reuse them. Bob Nelson
